Janna Meiring is the President and Radical Visionary of Eliot Street Collective.....which only means that she serves as a magnetic nucleous to the whole.

She is a graduate of the Naropa MFA Contemporary Performance Program where she studied Body Mind Centering® principles, Contemplative Movement and Grotowski Based Physical Acting.  She creates, performs and directs new work for the stage that is at the intersection of post-modern dance, theatre and visual art and focuses on community and social justice issues. Her one act play “Start Over As Me Dead” was honored at the Pueblo Playwrights Festival in 2004.  In 2006 she debuted her solo performance detonate kate in the Boulder International Fringe Festival. 

In addition to solo and ensemble creation of new theatre, she is also an acting and movement teacher for performers and non-performers of all ages. She currently teaches Movement for Actors and Creative Power for Teens.  Her passion for teaching is to provide students with a non-stressful, hopeful and yet dynamic environment that encourages curiosity, confidence and presence that will reverberate throughout their lives. www.jannameiring.com
